South Platte area in Chatfield State Park, showing much of the forest and riparian habitat that would be inundated at high water levels if the Reallocation Project is pursued (DEIS, Appendix M page 3-13). Kingfisher Bridge is in approximately the same location as the present bridge, but it will have to be rebuilt to accommodate the higher water levels. Please click map to view a larger image.
Plum Creek area in Chatfield State Park, showing much of the forest and riparian habitat that would be inundated at high water levels if the Reallocation Project is pursued (DEIS, Appendix M page 3-19). Note that north is toward the right on this map. The current mouth of Plum creek is off the north (right) side of the map. The parking lot near the picnic area is shown as submerged in the upper right corner of the map. Please click map to view a larger image.
Stake locations
This map displays the approximate locations of five stakes driven into the ground at Chatfield State Park. You may want to look for them when you visit the park. The stakes are about four feet tall and have been marked with pink ribbons. After reallocation, the target water level would reach the base of the stakes. Please click map to view a larger image.
